Angle is strange, I would'nt have chosen to include the chair and table in the shot -- it's a bit distracting.

I think I would have adjust the angle a little bit so you showed a little less of the background.. Black and white works well here.

Too much chazerai (Yiddish for stuff) in the background.

Probably the best use of depth of field this week.

Great shot, nice use of black and white, well photographed. This is a nice camera as well or you handle it well or both. :-)

Don't know about the choice of B& W for this. Might have stood out a little more in color. The photo has a very relaxing quality to it.

The background is distracting ... been nicer in color, since there is so much dark and light in checkers ....

B&w works well here, love the angle, too. Somehow the lighting doesn't conjure up thoughts of rain, but who cares. I would've cropped a smidgen more off the top so that the little bit of black at the top of the chair wasn't there, but that's a very minor change. Good job!

The angle on this picture is awesome. The background fits perfectly with your title and intent. I think that another way of looking at this picture
might have been to crop it closer at the bottom to cut out the left corner (word?) and to put a solid black background at the end of the table to
make it more dramatic--to fit with the dramatic angle. This is just an idea, of course! I really like this photo.

Nice angle this looks good in B&W

Nice angle, good focusing. Slightly less depth of field might have made the background less cluttered.

Nice use of black and white, I would have liked to see someone in the chair, would have added more feeling to this shot, as it stands it looks like an abandoned game.

Great camera angle, and the lighting seems just right to me. Very nice photo.

Nice! I like the black and white very much in this photo.. good job!

I like the nostalgic feel of this shot. Black and White was a good choice.

The lines in the photo seem to lead my eye to the background, which isn't really the main subject. Perhaps some blur in the background through even less DOF may have eliminated this effect. Seeing as the focus is on the middle black piece, you could probably have cropped the bottom to get rid of the edge of the board too.

Lots of distractions.

Good zone technique, leading the eye, and mood.

I like this image. The background is distracting though. I would have prefered a horizontally oriented picture with more board on the sides.

I love the "Grandma's kitchen" feel.
05/20/2002 01:34:00 PM
Nice perspective and background.

Wish I could get this much depth of field. Doesn't feel like it's raining though.
Is that sunlight coming through the window?

Good mood, good composition.
