Long exposure for digital. Good control of the noise. It's visible, but not too bad. Nice shot. |

i really want to try this, just wondering if you could have gotten the sky a little blacker with levels or curves |

The rooftop is too distracting and too close to the subject (the high wires get in the way as well) but I like this shot otherwise. |

Wow, I'll be curious to see how long the exposure was for this. What time of day was this taken at? 7 |

I wanted to do this so much, but haven't had a clear sky in 5 days... I wouldn't included a house, though as it is a bit distracting, te north star being so close to the antenna. Even with basic editing, you could have darkened a sky a bit more and accentuated star traces... 8. |

omg, amazing! did you set a long shutter speed and focus on the north star? the tree and house stayed the same over the exposure and the stars moved? if so that is amazing, absolutely stunning? the tree isnt even blurry, must have been no wind, great shot, amazing idea, 10 |

Would have been much better without the house. |

That is a nice effect. I would have tried boosting the contrast very slightly, though. |

Now THAT's a long exposure! I'd recommend bringing in the black point quite a bit to darken the sky. |

The house and tree, though they provide forground and perspective, are a little distracting. Would have been nice to have a more interesting forground subject. |

Impressive. Must have been a terribly long exposure. |

You could have chosen more pleasing surroundings.
I've always wanted to try that kind of shot. |

I think you needed a better subject to put in the forground. |

Always fun with that North star. I find it amazing that you were able to keep the shutter open that long. Noise is an issue, as would be expected, for such a long exposure. The other objects grab to much attention. 8 |

Proves, without a doubt, that the North Star is the only stationary object in the sky. Nice white balance for such a long exposure. |
