Well I learned something here. I did not know you could get such stars without a filter. Of course it helps to have such a huge f stop range...
Really nice! gave you a 9. |

This was one of my picks for a ribbon (9). Reading other comments, I hope they did not lower their score because they thought that you were using filters... I had a couple of long exposure outtakes with f/22 - f/32 and I know that you can get this effect without filters. Moreover, I haven't seen star filters with 14 rays.
This photo, other than being technically sound, also had a strong message, which is the reason I bumped it UP.
Good luck in the future challenges. |

In spite of the damage to the environment, refineries are really beautifl at night. I especially love the stars and the smoke plumes. |

Oooh! Sparkles!! Very nice. I love how the smoke is spewing out into the sky, blurred by the long exposure. |

The smokestacks look good. I don't like so much "star" glare from the lights, though. It's pretty--just looks a little too much. |

Nice subject although a bit tilted and MASSIVE overuse of star filter. Love the chimneys. I wonder what it would look like zoomed in and cropped with the chimneys as the focal point(s)? |

Trouble is, that is not pollution, it is steam. You can tell by the way it dissipates at the top. |

It would have been better if taken from higher up so that the white lights didn't distract from the yellow. |
