Waterhouse's Ophelia enfleshed....

Taken at the Glen Rock Faeri Festival

(Okay, it's actually my g/f's little sister who has an uncanny resemblance to Waterhouse's oft used model.)

If I could find a picture of the image that your title eludes to I might be better able to appreciate this photograph. Your model seems to be looking at something, but not intently or emotively enough for me to really be interested in what it might be. The jewelry and watch that she's wearing are somewhat distracting, and the strong light and her dark clothing make her look rather pale. A shallower DOF centered on the girl would have helped to direct my attention to her (as it is, I'm distracted by the odd shadow that makes it look like there's a face on the ground behind her head). Taking this photograph on a more overcast day would have helped to soften the light.

It's like, Rapunzel meets Emo Kid meets Lord of the Rings all in one photo. If there was one word to describe your creation, it would be chainsaw.

I like the look of the model but think it would have been even nicer to blur the background a bit........

I like the pose and the model is wonderful, but I feel that the lighting is a bit too harsh.

Love her look, hair, skin. Nice. Would think a better setting would of scored higher, but this is okay. I like the shadows/sun light. Best to see her more of her pretty face. 7
