Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Tin...
I really like the composition on this photo... the three glasses with the reflections underneath work very well overall... The first issue that I see that is not working very well is the background. The imperfections in it are somewhat awkward in the composition. The lighting is also working against your 'red white blue' theme by casting a yellow tint to everything in the image. It may be possible to correct some of this with white balance adjustments in your camera. Another compositional adjustment that could possibly work well here would be to move the glasses lower in the frame and leave your empty space at the top.

For a shot with an almost commercial feel to it, the imperfections in the textures (two hairs+) distract my attention. The teal-hued drink lacks credibility when compared to the blanco and rojo. |

I just don't like the background, I find some distractions in there. :) |

Colors look more like black, cyan, and yellow to me. I think something went wrong here. |

I don't like the reflections or the way the red wine glass is disappearing in the light. Also - the reflections of the glasses....wish i could see them or not really any at all. I do like the overall feel of this shot and the idea behind it. |

Nice idea. The colors seem a bit muted (red looks black). i don't like the light in the background, looks great across the table, but brings out distractions on the wall. A little more DOF so the back glasses have more clarity. |

The blue looks a little pale, but a good shot |

I think this image meets the color challenge and it is a clever idea. However, I would like the red color of the red wine to show up a little better. It looks black to me. The blue liquid appears to have some junk floating in it, which makes it less look less appealing. Overall the white balance appears to be off to me. You might have some success by setting the white point off of that hot spot on the wall to get the colors to look more natural. You might also try opening up the lens a little more to decrease the DOF. The marks in the wall are somewhat distracting for me. It looks like you were using some backlighting from looking at the bright spot on the back wall. I think this is a very good idea and is what will make this picture work, but I think you needed it to be stronger and more direct, not bounced off the wall. The hot spots on the wall and stems of the glasses detract from the picture for me. Finally I think I would have done the cropping a little differently. I would have cropped a lot more off the bottom and left some space above the glasses. I hope I donĂ¢€™t seem too harsh with my comments. I really see a LOT of potential here, and I hope they can help you get some pictures that you are very proud of.
I gave this one a 4 for the way it is now, but I think with a little work in post processing it could easily be a 7 without even re-shooting.

This is a nice composition, but I think the lighting is hurting your 'color' theme. the title suggests three colors, but the lighting is not making those colors dominant in the image... - setzler |
