Thanks to all for their votes. Addressing the comments: The jaggies and focus issues are from resizing the picture. The original 3 mp is very clear, no jaggies at all ; ) What looks like a blur behind Pac Man is actually a continuation of the maze line. I agree about the lighting, I hadn't even noticed the shadow. I think it is my arm, because the shot was taken in a dark room with light from a nearby room filtering in. I was holding a small flashlight over the pieces to light them from the front. I should have used an incandescent white balance to get all the marbles white I think - I just left it on auto. I don't know what to do about the crease.
Yeah, this is an old one. It predates me I think. The box shows its age, but other than the ghost's eyes falling off, it is practically mint.
I was surprised noone commented on the color of the base under the empty holes....I forgot to move my black background under the board...the brown color is that of the table I shot this on |

Seems a little over sharpened when i look at the maze borders and the pac-man logo. You could use a little more lighting as well. |

You have a nice photo here. I've never seen this board game before but the pieces are cute looking. The one of the two things I have a problem with which I believe should be controllable is the focus. Your Pac Man and Ghosts do not appear to be completey in focus. The second controllable problem is the lighting. There appears to be some sort of shadow in the lower right of your picture. The next few things may not be controllable due to lack of software or a more sophisticated camera. Your "white" balls have a yellowish tint to them. The Pac Man logo and the lines above it all have jaggys in it. Then the final unfortuante problem which might be correctable with proper lighting is that crease in the board. Towards the top of the picture its reflecting light and its almost white and it detracts from your subject. I think you had a good idea and you put forth a valiant effort. You are on the right track. Don't give up. |

I like the DOF and lighting. Also like that you show sufficient amounts of the board, but not everything. |

good colourful shot - good DOF - awkward angle to get composition right |

The composition of this leads my eye around it. I like that. The light seems to be kind of harsh off the plastic piece of pac-man though. But it sure brings back memories of standing in front of the video game for hours at the arcade. |

The problem with boardgames is that darn crease. It really draws my attention in this picture. |
