The only adjustments necessary were to stretch the histogram and adjust gamma to center the peak. I was surprised at the great bell curve I got my first time out with my E10! No brightness or contrast adjustments made.

unique idea
focus seems a bit off though
05/26/2002 01:22:00 AM
It seems a little ordinary to me. It needs some dramic lighting or long shadows or something.
05/25/2002 07:53:00 PM
The knives don't seem quite in focus
05/25/2002 04:47:00 PM
huh?!!?
05/23/2002 09:05:00 PM
a bit unfocused but creative
05/23/2002 08:12:00 PM
pretty neat shot
05/23/2002 12:17:00 PM
I like that you have a totally different take on this challenge and that you survived your childhood playing with knives! ;o) Good shot.
05/23/2002 10:17:00 AM
I can imagine that game can really ruin the blade of the knife, though I've never played it. I think you need a tighter crop of a different angle.
05/22/2002 05:59:00 AM
Heck, I still play that game. The photo is kind of uninteresting although it does bring up memories.
05/21/2002 10:29:00 PM
I remember that too, but I think the camera focused on the ground and not the knives as is it kinda makes me dizzy staring at it for too long.
05/21/2002 09:04:00 PM
I like this photo, it's very gritty :). Is the memory of just having penknives in general, or of throwing them so they stick in the ground?
05/21/2002 08:13:00 PM
"Be creative, and make your game obvious and appealing! " - Hmm, I'm not sure your game is appealing... Although I'm pretty sure I know what it is.
05/21/2002 08:03:00 PM
We certainly ruined a bunch of inoffensive pocket knives which deserved better...
05/21/2002 04:42:00 PM
don't know this game, but the whole 'it's all fun and game 'till somebody loses an eye' for some reason popped right into my head when I saw this :) The way this is cropped bugs me. don't know exactly why. but I like the lighting and the color alot. good job.
05/21/2002 04:01:00 PM
Yep
05/21/2002 03:58:00 PM
The dirt/gravel background is the perfect choice for this shot. A lower angle might have given this more umpf.....Nice old knives...
05/21/2002 10:18:00 AM
This is an OK photo... The subject doesn't do much for me...
05/21/2002 09:25:00 AM
Iam glad I never played this game as a child...
05/21/2002 08:34:00 AM
Oh! the memories that this picture brings back.
05/21/2002 12:00:00 AM
Throwing knives?? as a child?
05/20/2002 08:59:00 PM
Knifes in dirt, yea i remember that game...good times
05/20/2002 07:19:00 PM
Original thought.
05/20/2002 06:08:00 PM
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh my toe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
05/20/2002 06:07:00 PM
What's scary, is that I'm old enough to know what this game is! Are the knives for sale?!
05/20/2002 02:28:00 PM
Even without the title this picture speaks. Personal taste: would have removed the yellow material in background.
05/20/2002 02:08:00 PM
I don't get it.
05/20/2002 02:03:00 PM
Hmm... the picture doesn't do anything for me because unfortunately I do not know what this game is... unless you used to stab people for fun. :)
05/20/2002 12:10:00 PM
Needs feet.
05/20/2002 11:07:00 AM
lol you must of grown up near me. Lots of people don't know or never heard of Mumbly Peg. Fun photo, thanks for the memory. I think this could of been improved with better light and if you had gotten down lower. Still very nice work.
05/20/2002 10:36:00 AM
Just a Tad out of focus. Or maybe your camera isn't the best in the world. (mine isn't either)
05/20/2002 06:35:00 AM
I remember playing this with my brother. Root A Peg ! Ahhhh the memory. Nice idea and nicely done.
05/20/2002 06:34:00 AM
nice setting, but none of the knives are in focus.
05/20/2002 01:12:00 AM
