 I know the areas I'll get comments on: the hole in the leaf, the soft flower details, the sketchy lighting and the imperfections on the wall. Which were all components of the overall effect I wanted. I wanted to take a "studio" picture using imperfect specimens and I wanted the shot to be beautiful despite the blemishes. Hopefully others see the beauty in the matching curves (which I tried to emphasize by the composition and lighting) as well as the complimenting colours.

I’m thinking I’ll probably get about a 5.2 – 5.3 with lots of comments about using a better background. =)

My last challenge entry taught me to enter what I love and forget about the score. If one person gets it, I’ll be content!

The lighting is perfect but the background has cracks in them 8

This is a reminder to us that titles DO matter. Just through those simple two words, you justified a less than pristine background. Only thing to make this scene work any better is if the vase had had a slight blemish to it and the tabletop marred. One of my top ten.

Love the soft hues in this image, wonder what this would have looked like with the apple a tiny further from the vase, really nice shot, I think I'll keep it to look at later :)

Love the composition and the shot, but the imperfections in the wall spoil the simplicity and beauty for me. I had the same difficulty with the lighting showing too much glare on the apple! 8

I like teh colour in thsi photo. The wall looks great and the white and green subjects in the foreground are striking against it. I think ti would of worked better if you had framed differently - more table below and less wall above.

A beautiful lush image...distracting title...what here is imperfect? The wall behind the still life? For me that wall just adds character and interest..."perfection" is boring at times...what is perfection anyway? Sometimes I think "perfection" is in the eye of the beholder just as "beauty" is. For me, this is perfectly beautiful. : )
