Actually Ron the apple is held by a rod connected to the wood frame to the left and back. The apple is blocking the view of its support. I set my camera on a tripod about a foot from the apple, set the timer and walked out in front and pretended to throw the apple. Ya that's me in the shot.

I gotta know .... how many shots did it take to catch the apple in this stem exposing position? Was it tossed by that guy, or dropped from above? |

This is a really cool image...I think it needs a bit more contrast...I don't see any real blacks...and the greenish sepia is a little odd..but then again the image reminds me of an old faded photo...regardless...this is a standout amongst a bunch of ordinary apples. |

Origonal and nicely done. Great focus and placement of the apple in flight. I would have liked to see this with some color...even if it was just sutle by not completly desaturating it. 9 |

Extremely clever .... very well done. The DOF works great here, but I'm not sure about the B & W .... maybe with a little more contrast, but still I'm not sure. I'd like to see the color version .... |

If only the colours weren't so washed out.... I love the shot! It's very creative. There are lots of apples in water lots of simple apples but this is something different. I give it initially a 9 but I like this static motion so much that i bump it up. I feel like beeing hit with this apple. This shot makes me feel as if I was in the shot just about to catch it. Superb :) |

Great shot. I love that the thrower of the apple is blurry. Excellent work. |

Fresh, intriguing, lighthearted and technically just shy of a miracle. One of my top 3 ( assuming it is totally legit and the apple was not cloned into the scene.) |
