Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM
Location: Toronto Brickworks, Toronto

Aperture: F9.0

Taken at the interiors of the abandoned Toronto Brickworks.

I wished the shaft of light from the roof was more visible. Voters will probably deduct points for the purple fringing around the highlights. The green cast was from a green plastic roofing which was right above me.

Shot in raw mode. Post-processing: curves, levels, color adjustment, color saturation, dodged some spots, rotated CW, cropped, resized, USM, Neat Image, border. I used Lighting effects in PS to lighten-up some areas.

My first impression was that this looked really photoshopped. I see a couple people thought the same thing. Your details don't seem like 'too much editing', but it's hard to say exactly what was edited by the details. It just has a feeling of being heavily edited.
The one thing I did notice and you already know about is the purple around the blown out area of light in the celieng. With all the editing you did, you'd think you could have fixed that if you were concerned about it hurting your score. I think it would have more visual effect without the purple and maybe a tad less bright in that area.
I do like the beam, and the green glow on everything is pretty cool as well.
This photo kind of reminds me of the ribbon winner from this challenge. That's a compliment.
Focus and clarity are really good and I think that we get lots of detail in the surroundings. I like the way there are lots of lines in the celieng and then the lines also down the right side, but the bottom left does not have all the bars/beams in it. This brings my eyes through the photo.
Overall a very nice scene, interesting to look at and very little need for improvement. Congrats on the neat shot.

Interesting setting. the lighting is a unique piece of this, but I'm not sure it's really an integral part of the photo.

it looks like you created that beam of light in photoshop. I think it would look more real if the edges were not so sharp. If the light would have faned out a little maybe. If the beam of light is real, then...I guess I was wrong (it happens sometimes)

I like this shot, good depth of field, fits the topic well, focus could be a little sharper, but the colors, especially the greens, look more like they came from editing than from the scene

A really cool capture, especially with the green light cast on the old machinery. You've presented a great contrast between light and dark and the composition is very strong. Nice work.

Cool shaft of light and interesting colors. Where does the green glow come from?

This is good. I like the composition, the greenish colors of the interior of this warehouse and the effect of the light coming through the roof onto the floor..8

I really like this.. the colors work well together and the ray of light shining through really adds to the photo.
