This is my favorite. 10. Near perfect if not for the glare to the upper right of the star.

Very well composed and I just love your idea here. The little sparkle of light off the glass adds interest too. Well achieved and GL in this weeks challenge.

Very nice, a classy shot, the colors are great, I love the starburst, and the concept. Almost a little too much negative space for me, but overall an excellent shot.

Great job! Very cool - I like the concept - (I did something similar but different), however I think you did a much better job! Love the starburst and the colors of the candy. Very high score :)

Glint of the glass is fantastic, but I wish the candies were brighter. Fine line, and judgement call, perhaps. Great work here.

Really cool flare, I like it's color. Lots of negative space, near the 1/3 rule, but not quite. The glare on the front of the glass is a tad harsh, but not a total killer.

Could've been a contender, but get rid of the lighted areas at the top and bottom.

I love the star. Good colors and focus.

How did you do the "sparkle"?
04/15/2003 03:05:20 PM
I love the sparkle and the composition of the colors in the darkness. Only suggestion might be a little tighter crop! Great shot! A solid 9!

The lighting makes this shot! I feel a closer centered crop would have worked stronger for it. Well done.

nice sparkle. but that is 1st thing i saw. my eyes want to keep wandering to that spot all the time. i wish the lighting was closer to the 5:00 position to illuminate the candy better and the sparkle should have been toned down.

This is a fun entry. I had a similar idea. You did a good job with this and the lighting and the sparkle in the background really add to the "cocktail" theme.

Almost to dark but a good attempt.

Good, but the subject is a little too far away - bring it closer.

Good composition and detail

I like the star reflection, but not the one higher up. It's all a bit dark, but I like the subject and way you chose to do this.

Beautiful shine . i like the photo, 9 from me!

The sparkle off the glass is a really cool effect. However, the glare on the glass and the darkness of the candy subject is a bit distracting. Maybe could have cropped a little closer. I'm scoring for the sparkle only.
