I really love this shot - very satisfying glacial droplets. Other thoughts as below. |

Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil
Composition - Really good subject depicted here. It reminds me of something I'd see in a gardening magazine. The raindrops look suspiciously like mercury from their very shiny appearance. I would have cropped the top of this off and some of the right side to in order to really emphasize the 2 leaves that have the cool drops on them. I think it would've brought it into a better perspective with the big main leaf in front, and the smaller leaf as a backup nicely to the left and slightly behind. You have the DOF to do it and this photo is taken well enough that it would've done a lot to enhance the drops on this leaf.
Technical - This is as well taken as any picture in the whole challenge. You've done a great job with the exposure. But really on the whole I think this picture is taken as well as you could take it and probably a lot better than I could. I wouldn't change anything about the way you took this.
Overall - A little different crop and I think you'd have had a serious contender on your hands. It would've brought the leaves into pseudo-macro mode and really made them shine even more than they do. I think a lot of this photo is perception and if you give the viewers only one real thing to see, then they have no choice but to like it :) At least that's what I think. Congrats on a great pic. Good luck in future challenges - Inspzil |

Great vivid colors and I like the way the rain drops catch the light. Very good contrast, detail and DOF. This photo definitely captures my interest and holds it. |

A slightly tigher crop would of worked better here..Using rule of thirds could of helped here as well.. A missed opportunity.. 7 |

Nice image of a nasty subject. You sure this is ther esult of acid rain rather than the ubiquitous pests? :) The clarity of this image is just amazing: sharp detail of the leaf and the rain drops. Also like the background: it is lively without being "busy". Nice composition with the diagonals of the branches. Good color combo of the dark green, the chartreuse green and the orangy rust tones. 8 Journey |

very nice image...a little suggestion...how about cropping the image, just the leaf and raindrops. anyway, still got high mark. |

Sure looks like acid rain huh? Good one, I love the detail and focus in this shot. The DOF brings out several layers back and the far background is still blurred. Nice effect. |

10 from me here. Not only do show the weather, you show the specific effects of THIS weather very well (even if it\'s a bit exaggerated). You also show the would-be beauty of the foliage with your wonderful point of view. |

I really like the way the leaf seems to be "popping" out of the picture. The focus and depth is great. I don't really care for the title you chose...a rain shower is more refreashing than acidic. However, the glare on the many of the raindrops is distracting. The drop at the tip of the main leaf is the best. Wish they all could have looked like that one. |
