So close to being awesome lighting, I just don't like the shadow on the top left/bottom right. The saturated black/white look is great.

Great use of b&w... Blows away the other dart images for me.

Good lighting and nice use of Black and White to accent the shot. A little dark on my monitor around the dart and I think that may be a problem as I have my monitor set brighter than most. But overall a quality shot.

great idea, but i think your lighting could have been much better

Nice high contrast B/W. Could stand a L and bottom crop to get the bullseye better placed?

Might have done a little direct lighting on the dart ... the other lighting is interesting ... kinda harsh, but different

i absolutely love the high contrast. while i'm usually not a fan of centre-based composition, works well for the s.m. here. :)

Good job on the black and white.

I think this is one of the shots where color would worked better than b&w, at least IMO. The lighting is a little bit too harsh, too light in the middle, too dark on the edges. I do like the angle and composition of the shot.

to much light and shadow

Toss up, appears too dark, but with killer glare. I like the shadows, but try different lighting, maybe less harse lights.

I think the shadows are just a bit too stark in this otherwise great shot.

Very nice, the lighting is harsh and I like it, works very well with the black and white... good job

I really like this idea. Can't quite put my finger on why the lighting is bothering me to some degree. I think its because it is so harsh at the lower left and so dark in other places. Sorry, not a great comment, but I am kind of learning how to do this constructivly.

This is an interesting lighting for a dart board. I believe that there could be a little more contrast between the dart and the board to make it stand out a little more. The dart on the bullseye is being swallowed by the surrounding colors...

B&W doesn't work for me here. The dart is hard to distinguish

My old boyfriend was a dart champion (like 8th in the world or something) and he would go ape shit over this photo. Awesome!!! perfect 10.

I like the lines and curves contrast here. Good angle too!

This needs more than one light source.

great lighting but losing the dart ending let it down some
05/20/2002 01:27:00 PM
Gosh I almost like this a lot. I mean I do like it, just wish the crop was more on the bottom. This is an interesting photo, good work. Love the b&w.

Interesting lighting and choice of black and white.

nice photo. good lighting

This photo is one of few which makes me want to play the sport... The harsh lighting at an aggressive angle adds interest and the black and white effect adds to the dramatic effect. Well done.
