Red eared slider - I have on too! Although mine isn't real friendly! LOL. Great shot!

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Ayme :)

Jay looks like a cool turtle :) He apparently likes candy as much as i do.. lol... The detail of the turtle is excellent and the underside perspective is strong also.

As I said in my original comment on this photo, I think the theme of 'candy' is overshadowed by the turtle itself. Candy is present in the photo so it does meet the challenge :)

I like to spend some time evaluating the meaning of each challenge and I don't usually get on the fringes of what I think the challenge means. It's like in the flora competition this week, I see a lot of photos that contain flora, but the flora is overshadowed by some larger and stronger theme in the image... does that make sense?

Keep up the good work :)

LOL looks like this little fella loves the candy. Very well composed and I love the idea too. Well achieved.

I once had a dog who liked avocado. Maybe we should start a thread on pet food fetishes.

Cute photo! Wouldn't the candy be "bad" for Jay? Very nice detail, the claws on his left hand are very visible. Color seems pretty good. Love that head!

i hope you didnt force a piece of candy into this animal's mouth, that would be cruel...

That is a nice sharp photo of the slider (or is it a painted?). However, I think the hand detracts from the image somewhat...

This would have been really cool if you could have done it without the hand in the background

why have the hand in the photo. why not have jay and some candy in a photo, with a blank background where jay and the candy would really stand out together? is the red stuff in his mouth candy (are we supposed to figure this out?). its a great shot of jay. the hand, and the lack of obvious candy (bitten or unbitten) supply weakens it.
