I used one of these in the indoor macro challenge a few weeks ago. Unfortunately mine was much smaller and not in a natural setting, as this one appears to be. The background does not help this guy though. The part under his chin is light as is his skin and the part over his eyes is dark, as is the part over his eyes. A more uniform background would've made something about his head stand out more. As it is I think he's blending in a little too much.

THAT is a nasty looking turtle! Looks like a cross between a moray eel and an alligator! GREAT lighting, sharp focus, powerful image!

This looks dangerous, is it a snake? It is difficult to make out what it is. The reflection in the water is clear although the water gives me the impression that there is oil floating on it. Good capture.
