OK! I won't pick it! Did you use a polarizer or other filter on this? |

The details on the actual flower are a little obscure, but the "prickles" are awesome. Nice work. |

The needles are in focus but the flower is not. Since their flowering is rather the unusual feature and presumably the main subject of the picture here, the oof is unfortunate. Good colors, underexposed at the bottom. 6 Journey |

The bloom needs some extra light from the camera side. Perhaps a reflector would help? |

excellent perspective on this shot, but if the red was a little stronger i think it would be much better overall... great shot :) - setzler |

Nice clear shot, everything in focus. The sky is a little grainy but it isn't a problem, well taken! |

More impact if the image is a little lighter (brighter). |

Unusual flower. The blue backround really helps to highlight the subject. I wonder if some addition light on the cactus branch from in front would have brought in some more color. |

the flower grilstens in the harsh sunlight - like it is dusted ith diamonds (sand?) the burst of sharp white spikes makes a nice contrast. Is that a jet-trail in the bottom left? Or something white out-of-focus? Wish the backround could have been all vivid blue. Also wish there was a better connection with the bud on the right, or not have the bud in the picture at all. |

Unique take on this flower. Point of view emphasizes thorns as much or more than the flower itself. |
