Congrats Ian - see that 300D is serving you well, didn't get the chance to vote in this challenge but would have rated your shot very highly. Definately one of the more appealing bird studies in this challenge - well done.

Extremely strong composition, I like it a lot. Returning to comment, considered bumping from it's current (8) but have decided to leave it there due to blown highlights on each bird. Still very, very nice shot. |

Great shot: lovely composition and light. Maybe a little bit of overexposure on the feathers. My top pick so far |

litttle minor for the slight overexposures but apart from that a topper..would make a brilliant postcard |

love the lighting and the tones. Very different from the 1/2 dozen other flamingo shots - original! Also a little tongue in cheek, which I also enjoy. 9 from me - good luck in the challenge! Bumping to 10. Been through all the others... |

That must be some pretty good stuff in the barrel! I like the contrast of colors, but the backs of the birds are a bit too bright. Detail has gotten blown out. |

Ha haa! Very funny. Exposure a little off and too contrasty but great composition and content. 7 but would have been more with better exposure etc. |

something strange going on with the colour balance/ exposure here? Pity since the composition is great. |

Beautiful! I've never actually been a fan of shopped frames, but this picture may change my mind. I think that the picture is beautiful and the frame really complements it. Well done! |

Makes me wonder how long you had to wait for this perfect shot, or was it just a lucky break? Really great! |

Well I am completely torn with this image. On one hand it´s both underexposed and overexposed, it´s very dark in most places and then you blow out the highlights of all three birds (flamingos?) and normally that just completely ruins a shot for me. On the other hand the composition and moment you captured are very interesting so I don´t really know what to give you. Ended up putting a 5 on this as I am completely torn. If this shot would have had a higher dynamic range I would have given it a 8 or even a 9, even though it´s pretty obviously a zoo shot. |

Well spotted! The highlights are a bit of a problem, but the composition and the whole mood make up for it. I love it! 9 |
