This photo is really cool and unique. I love the varying colours of the bamboo. The slight sense of perspective stops it from being boring and adds interest. Nice work.

Awesome. I have never seen a bamboo forest like this one. Nice image.

Wonderful shades of green and gray. Well composed.

bamboo pretty good shot but looks like a flash was used could have tried a longer exposure to try to capture more of the light filtering through the canopy.

Ooooh, la la. I like the drama of this photo!

This is beautiful. Is it bamboo? I love the varying shades and colors. Very nice. 9

This was one of my favorites of the challenge for its simplicity and originality. Nice lines - this really has an "artsy" feel to it. 9

I am fascinated with these trees. I compare these tall trees to our Ponderosa Pines which are common in my area. I would have liked to have seen what the leaves look like on these. I\'m not able to see any detail of them in this photo. Despite that, this is a very nice photo...well focused and good lighting. Definately meets the challenge. 9 Good Luck

I would have crop out the bottom to remove the heads of the small plants, IMHO it detracts.

Bamboo and giant bamboo too! Wow. This is a neat shot, lots of variations of colors. Maybe a higher crop on the bottom. Fantastic, hope you'll shoot more of this!!

The only bamboo shot of the challenge, good idea, you did it well - 8.

This is a bit overexposed, but the verticle lines standing in various angles works extremely well here. I like that there are some accent colors within the stalks as well. Plants in front are a bit distracting (minor nick) , but I like this one a lot.

i love this...the subtle colors are wonderful. my only suggestion is to crop out the greenery at the bottom...it's a bit distracting. nice shot!

Nice image, would be good candidate for B&W, composition a llittle too "even" and regular, needs just a little suprise in this quiet rhythm.

Great composition

Wow how cool is that! I've never seen bamboo so big. You may get bad scores if people don't recognize it. Should have titled it "Bamboo Forest" instead.
04/21/2003 01:41:35 AM
Wow those are pretty large bamboos. Did you consider shooting upwards? That probably would provide a more interesting point of view than just straight on.
04/21/2003 01:30:23 AM
Is this taken with flash? Maybe the white balance is off or something, but bamboos usually aren't gray.....
