FIRST IMPRESSION: Great subject, great light, a little overexposed.
CHALLENGE: Meets the challenge without being cliché.
COMPOSITION: Good composition that draws the viewer to the subject in the frame and sets it off from the background elements.
TECHNICAL: Depth of field is good but I feel the shot is a bit overexposed. This may have benefited from a moderately shorter exposure time, or a levels adjustment in post-processing.
CONCLUSION: A good photograph, certainly better than average. A little more post-processing may help bring this shot to its full potential.

| Post-challenge comment: I really wish this picture would have done better. It's not perfect "technically", but it's so beautiful, and it gives the feel of dawn just right. I like the "fuzzyness", I think it adds to the picture. Oh well. |

| The light is very washed out, but I think that works. Nice composition. I like the way the foreground elements blend to the background. It gives me a sense of taking a little journey through the photo. |

| I think this picture would've fit better in landscae orientation. The stuff at the bottom is a little too extra for this photo. The top is much more effective. |

| This give me the sensation of seeing dead rabbits mounted on sticks. Sorry! The reeds in the foreground are great. The background with the barn and landscape is nice and atmospheric, although it seemed almost part of a different image. It's those dead rabbits that get me. This picture makes me wonder that you were unsure what part of the image to emphasize because there were so many elements that were of interest. 6 Journey |

| This is moody, spooky, stunning. I'd like the water cropped out, really not adding anything and would allow the top of the fir tree by the shed\cabin. Neat place....wow I hope you can go there often. This would be a cool place to set up a tripod and shoot from the same spot....Summer/Winter/Spring/Fall. Great looking shot. The focus is wee bit soft. |

| Exposure seems a little high here, but the concept is beautiful. You've captured the highlights on the tops of the canes beautifully. The wood barn in the background and the added effect of the mist works well together. |

| The light on this is excellent. Could have done without the bright patch on the grass, but the effect on the woods is eerie and the foreground really pops out. |
