Greetings fromt the Critique Club
Composition
The sharp flower and blurry background works well for this photo. I like the kid's half smile in anticipation.
Color
The bright yellow really sets this picture up - and none of the other colors contradict the bright, happy mood set here.
Focus
Absolutely perfect focus. The sharp flowers and the blurry kid draw our attention right smack to the flora here.
Subject matter
The color and focus on the flower make this a good selection for flora. I'm glad there's no black bg behind him. ;)
Overall
Very unique, excellent picture. Congrats.

When looking at the thumbnails and at the title of this i thought omg, a kiddy snappyshot. I was pleasantly surprised when i looked at the actual image. Really nice how the flower is in sharp focus and the child, although clearly recognizable, is blurred. Color of the flower i great and so is its clarity. I also enjoy the idea because it is really such a child 'thing' to give a flower such as this :) 8 Journey.
Upped this to a 10; i really like the whole 'flavor' of this shot. |

| Great focus on the dandilion. This is a top notch shot. The yellow all the way to the use of glasses on the kid make for a wonderful composition. |

| The sunglasses really don't do it for me here. I think the theme of the picture is very cute generally and the macro on the flower is very good indeed. In general a good shot. The sunglasses just bug me. |

LOL... this looks like one of those greeting cards wwith the mellow colors in a photograph. Really very very nice. Love the bright color, and your use of DOF... great focus. Overall awesome photo! Perfect 10!
P.S. My pick for best of the entries! I really do love this picture... especially the fact that you used a Dandelion... just awesome, very professionally done... I hope you put this up for sale!!! This is seriously one of my favorites I've seen on here in quite a while! Congrats! |

| this is a nice idea. I would, however like a bit more dof on the child's face.. not entirely.. just a bit.. also, to see the hand holding the flower. but it is a precious image all the same. |

| Obviously not the most beautiful flower in the challenge, but one of the most creative presentations. Brings a true feeling of being a kid again to the viewer. (I remember thinking dandilions were flowers and picking them for my mother.) The short dof works perfectly, making the child a bit more anonymous letting anybody relate to this shot. Nice work. 9 |

| This is my favorite photo out of all of them. This photo is not just a flora shot, but also has meaning. The dandelion has always been the bouquet of all small children at some point or another and this photo really brings a smile. The child in the background is great. I'm not sure about the bulky sunglasses...whether it would have been better without them. The "flower" is well focused, lighting is great, good definition....like I can reach out and accept it. 10+ Good Luck |
