Hello from the CC Club
My first impression of this shot was the lighting, it is very dramatic and pleasently different, a bit too bright in spots which makes it lose detail in the petals though.
The background is a little grey on my screen, might benefit from a bit more black which might have brought out more detail in the stem/leaves.
The green stripe on the right is distracting and would benefit from being cloned out.
A nice composition, perhaps a slightly higher position to see a bit more of the stamen.
Overall a nice photo that I can imagine hanging on a wall.
Good luck with future challenges.

It looks like a painting hanging in a museum. Very nice. |

Nice lighting, but it seems a little washed out on my monitor. |

your comp is great, there is a sliver of green showing at the right edge of the photo that is a bit distracting. |

I don't like the way this was lit. Looks like a flashlight. |

Interesting effect. The light on the leaf in the right distracts a little bit but not too much. |

The composition and lighting are great! Super choice for the challenge! Your framing and angle of the flower is breathetaking. I love the softness of the background foilage! A solid 9 from me!!! Great job! |

interesting work with the lighting... I believe that the green bright spot on the right is a little distracting... maybe some more even lighting in the green arey would strenghthen the composition... - setzler |

Good lighting and excellent composition. For this to be an outstanding image you'd need a little more sharpness to it, but overall this is very good. |

An absolutely incredible pic. This is a 10 to me. Pic taken outside at night I assume. Very nice. |

This is really pretty. The flower is lit well, but I wish that the background and stem/leaves were a bit darker. The one lit leaf to the far right is ok, just the ones in the background kind of create a distraction as we can't really see them, but we can tell they are there. I wish that the leaf to the right was not cropped off, otherwise, the framing/cropping are ok. Good luck in the challenge. |

the light does seem like it is coming from within the lily. I like being able to see the shadowy greens beneath too. Like the shadows of petal on other petals. |
