Screech the baby eagle is the mascot of the DC Nationals. This was taken during the 7th inning stretch, as Screech was leading "Take me out to the ballgame".
Edits were Crop, Dust/Scratches, Auto Levels, levels, and image resize. Taken with EV -0.5 compensation on the camera to increase the effective f-stop.

I haven't figured out why the Nationals have a bird for a mascot. But its better than a senator any day. The shirt is spot on in focus but the birds head is not. Must have been a really short DOF in a night game? Like the camera guy at the bottom right. Interesting take on the challenge. Good luck!

Maybe not the best picture, could have use a little more shutter speed, but you entered a man in a bird costume. 10

In my opinion, this doesn't meet the spirit of the challenge.

Well okay. I like the lens the guy has on his shoulder. Sorry but this just doesn't belong in this challenge except as a fun shot. I hope you had a good time at the game and that your team one. At least now I know what the Nationals mascott looks like.
