 After taking many shots of vacant posts, empty blue skies, uninhabited trees, deserted bird tables.....
I finally found a bird that was unable to fly away before my shutter went off!!!

Cropped, resized,lifted the brightness and altered contrast a little. saved for web

I know that feeling! And she's actually a very cute duck. Sharp, in focus, point of view good. I would have cropped some of the bottom off but that's my opinion. All those rocks kind of detract and cropping them out would put more focus on the duckling. She looks very similar in coloring to them! 6 - good luck in the challenge!

awwwwwww int he lovely, look a shi'te sight better next to some chips and peas, yum yum. couldnt you have found a nice budgie to take a picture of? :-) very good, like the water

Awwwww. . . he is SO CUTE. I love it that he's in a different setting than just on a river bank or floating around in the water. This is nice. He's all by himself, posing on the boulders. Nice job!

Good composition! I like the difference in texture between the feathers and the rocks. There is just a touch of noies/hazing in the photo, but not too much. Detail on the duck looks pretty clear. Playing with Levels might help bring out some of the darker and lighter spots and really make this photo pop!
