This was a mistake... I took this picture when i was in germany. I was staying with a German family at the time and they took me to a bird show. I captured this shot, and attempted to edit it using German software (I don't speak german.). Also, the 56k internet over there is pay per minute, and I wasn't able to get back on to resize and re-enter the photo. So thats my story. I might have had a winner.. :/

It'so perfectly poised it looks like it could be a stuffed one held up by strings. Good job.

I'm sorry - but the details are lost in this small photo. From what I can tell - it looks a a bit dark. The background trees are too busy and the bird blends in.

Interesting shot but the size is too small.

such an excellent capture. I wish it was larger so I could see the detail I know is there. Great stop action. Tree is a little distracting on such a small image - doesn't provide good contrast like the sky does to highlight the bird. 6 but probably would have been higher if I could see more detail. Sorry!

Next time, if you can, try to use all the pixels available to you (longest side 640 pixels). It will help me see the detail and appreciate your photo better.

Wish this was larger. Too small to enjoy the image

a larger image would certainly have done this photo more justice.

This is a cool shot.
Couple tips, you could have cloned out the powerlines if you have a program that does that. You also need to make it full size 640pixes wide in your editing program. There is a turorial here to help you with resizing.

grat capture, just fails to stand out from the background to make it a wow picture.

The appeal of the shape of the bird in flight is lost because of the dark backdrop of the tree. For a shot like this to work for me, you'd need to have repositioned yourself to get a clean sky background.

Looks like an excellent capture, though I wish the image were a bit larger to see more detail.

The pic is a bit small and hard to see details. I would love to see this bigger.

This looks like a pretty clear shot, but it's hard to tell because the image is so small. I think you'll find better voting results if you utilize the larger image size that's allowed. Composition is ok, lighting looks ok.

This is a very good shot of a flying bird. Like the colors and composition. Just wish the photograph were a little larger so I could see more detail. Good luck in this challenge.

This could be a great capture but the image is too small - please try using the 640 pixels you are allowed!

I am giving this image a six. If it were presented in the size alloted I would have given it a ten. It is a winning image but too small of a size to compete for the top honors, yet that is where it belongs. A breataking capture.
