Sorry for the form-letter type commentary. I̢۪m going to try to give almost everyone at least this breakdown to start. I would be happy to offer a more detailed opinion if you would like, though I don̢۪t consider myself a very knowledgeable photographer.
Here is how I broke down my score for your submission.
Content: 2/4 (Is the subject compelling? Does the choice of content match the challenge?)
Composition: 2/2 (Is the work well balanced and successful?)
Color/Light: 1/2 (Is light and or color used with skill and artistic intent?)
Clarity: 1/2 (Is the picture in focus? Are the elements clear?)
Total:6/10

I like this one the more I see it, nice shades for b/w a little too bright on the left but works

I like your stairwell better than mine. I like the way the lines take your eye through the entire frame. Also, going black and white seems appropriate. Top ten.

I like this. It's spooky enough to make it fit the challenge well an the lines are great.

Love the composition of this one. The white area on the left effectively serves as an entry point. My eye is immediately drawn in and follows the white rail right into the darkness. The pole emphasizes this, by acting as an arrow pointing down. Much more than a picture of a stairway.

You made a good use of perspective. The gradient from daylught to darkness is smooth, but broken by the stairs at the same time. 7.
