Almost a surrealistic landscape that makes the viewer perk up and take notice. Great tonal range and the composition is made stronger with the placement of the small tree on the left in the foreground. For a lot of fine detail the clarity is pretty good.
The lighting and tree are wonderful but not quite enough to carry the whole composition. The image needs some balencing agent on the right like a giant billowing cloud in the background, a horse or other farm animal in the foreground or an impatient partner looking at their watch and asking, "Honey, aren't you done yet?" LOL
The bright white sign near the center of the image is a distraction in this otherwise fine picture. |

Beautiful!! Excellent depth of field. The contrast is great too. I like the way the light shines on the leaves of the tree. Only one negative - that white 'whatever' thingy in the middle off in the distance is distracting. Still I give this a 10 |

You know, ive been staring at this image for about 5 minutes now, and I just can't seem to relate Darkness to this photo. Perhaps after the challenge is over you can explain it. |

I think this ranks as one of the most sought after pictures- an approaching storm on a stretched horizon. Well caught! |

Beautiful to see dark clouds rolling in like that, and the tree in the foreground really makes the picture complete with it's wind-blown branches. Great job! |

A storm from a nuclear explosion? Nicely balanced composition, but I'm having a little trouble with the purple tint. |
