those red leaves behind the bird are a bit distracting. also too much empty space in the front..

i think you have an extremely complimentary background to the orange of the bird. I wish you had taken this from a more front-on position to hopefully get that pole out of the shot, or at least allow it to be more easily photoshopped out.

Nice light in the eye, nice detail, nice composition with great use of empty space. Like the background too with that curtain of green along the top. 7

The rich colors make this stand out from the other pictures of robins and sparrows. The focus on the bird could have been a little bit sharper though; the focus seems to center on the bird's perch.
