Good take on the challenge. The horizon needs to be leveled. Good capture otherwise.

there is always hope.

I'm all for wiping out poverty in the world. I just don't think the photo is creative.

I think if you had cropped out the bright clothes on the top it would be a much more compelling picture. I almost missed the woman in the doorway untill I scrolled down to see what it would look like cropped...otherwise very nice (7)

i think the image is right on the money very dark place to be..........but it does seem to be a bit over exposed with a little work think it would have done real well

This picture brings saddness to me, and a sense of dark hope. Fits this challenge well, sad for her though.

the underlaying concpt is a great depiction of the darkness of depravity - however i am not sure where to look in thise photo, where is my focal point? Where should my eye go?

I gave you a really good score, but having said that I felt a little distracted by the towel/flag colors in the top right of the photo. I love the sudden splash of colors at the bottom though with the bucket and green. Very good, I hope you do well. GL

Perfect for this challenge! Photo captures the feel of poverty well. It's a little cluttered, but, it's hard to shoot clutter and not have it look cluttered. 6

Reminds me of S. Korea

Very nice. Brings up a lot of emotion for me. Glad I looked at it carefully. I almost missed the figure in the doorway. Nice contradiction with the cheerful colors and depressing grunge.

it would be nice if the woman was the main subject of the shot. right now the red bucket jumps out and overwhelms her. nice take on the topic, though.

This looks rather familiar to me. I wonder where this is.
