The darkness in this photo was completely intentional. I must admit that the soft focus is a little too soft. I learned from this shot and thanks for the comments :) |

I see the expression more as fearful than pouty, but I don't think that has any effect on the quality! |

I think the highlight in the eye might be a little too big and too bright in relation to the rest of the picture. I'm also not certain I like the direction that the eye is looking -- perhaps that has something to do with the highlight. I like the lighting otherwise, but wish the skin tones, where visible, were a little bit brighter and closer to "18% gray." (If they are already there, and they just seem darker, then maybe closer to 18% perceptually -- if that makes sense.) |

I love the crop on this photo, the way the highlight of the face makes a diagonal line through the photo. It's a perfect expression of the title as well. As a mother, I've seen this look a lot!!! Great job. |

It's a little too dark for me. Great idea, though |

Nice use of negative space. I think maybe I could have been happier with a little more detail, a little less dark. The darkness definitely gives it a mood, but I think as it is it strikes me as more menacing than pouting. |

Nice composition, but seems a little out of focus on the bottom half of the subject. |

Great creative shot...conveys simply, but powerfully, a lot of emotion. I like the gracefull lines the child's features create against the background. Nice pic! |

This has a lot of character, in a very dramatic photo. I like it a lot. |

You may have done it intentionally, but the focus is too soft for my taste. |

High impact photo, but I think it's tooo dark. Focus seems soft, was that on purpose? More light and more face might have been nice. Photo 6 Creativity 7 People 8 total 7 |

I like the way you framed this shot, and the b&w. Catching the light in the eye is great, too. I would've preferred the photo to be a little lighter and sharper though. |

I like the idea here. Having the face along the diagonal of the photo works well. The forehead seems to have copped a lot of the light, which tends to emphasize it a little too much for my liking |

Excellent job with capturing emotion in this shot. It seems just a tad dark, but I suspect you planned it that way. One of my top 10 shots for the week. |

Good shot in the Stieglitz style. The lighting is a bit awkward to my eye, but it also adds interest. |

Poor baby... I feel the same way when I have to have my picture taken. This is an excellent photo. I really like the shadows and the lighting on the eyes, forehead, and lips. It captures the emotion that seems to be pouring from the child. |

Emotion captured. Something that is very hard to do. Perfect detail and lighting. It doesn't get much better than this. |
