 (very) last minute inspiration for a darkened still life, combining a reflective surface and interesting lighting elements. The tools are for applying darkness.

Too off the wall? Very interesting stats - probabably reflects the minority of people who 'got it'... Perhaps a slightly different title would have helped.

This is an interesting photo and I have come back to it a few times now. I really tried to put together the image, the title, what your concept of darkness is, and I could not come up with a relationship between a dark picture of make-up and darkness other than the picture is dark. I am sure I am missing something, some relationship. I passed on voting on this pic since I don't think it fair to knock your score just because I am unable to see your concept. Good luck!

Strong blue is a great color for high scoring images. Just review past ribbon winners and you will see that it crops up frequently.

At first glance it is not immediately apparent what this image is about. In most, but not all cases, viewers should instantly recognize what the image is and make a connection to it. That is probably difficult for most male voters.

Though not particularly creative or unique the composition of this image is fine. The focus perhaps is too soft. It needs a stronger and more apparent central theme.

Had to take a second look to get it, but very creative and out of the box compaired to the others. What's the bar lighting from?
