Aperture: 2.8
Shutter: 16 s

I took this shot in a dark room with no flash. I exposed the image for 16 s with the aperature at f2/8. Luckily my model was able to stay very still so she is still in clear focus, even down to the scales.

Thanks for the comments. I took the picture much larger, but I thought that the rules called for the smaller size. I may have misread them. I also don't know what that glare on the head is. The lights were out in the room. It may be from the light in the other room. I didn't think it would leave a glare, but there it is. I like the way it looks after LadeeM rotated it as well. It adds a lot to the composition I think.

I wish I could have gotten the whole snake in the photo, she was about 2 feet long. But she was stretched out and she would have looked too small in the shot.

Copied twice ... that was weird.

This was hard on my eyes because it looked upside down. I hope you don't mind, I copied it and rotated it:

It helps the photo alot. Also, check out this tutorial, as it helped me out tremendously. :)

image isn't taking advantage of size allowance, ie too small. focus on the snake is off, particularly on the head. 4

Looks slightly out of focus...4

The bright reflection on the snake's head distracts from what is otherwise a very good shot. Well done.

Interesting line. Wish the head was sharper.

Too bad he is a little blurry and that wood chip is above his head.

Base score
Poor lighting/processing -1
Total score 4

I understand where you're going here, but I think your pic is a little too dark...I don't think you need it this dark to convey the message of darkness you're trying to get across.

I also wonder why you resized it to 460...stick with 640 if possible...

Good composition and good idea

What an awesome potential shot. You gott great shapes and textures. Too bad your focus is off. It could also be a bit larger. PM me after the challenge if ya need help on resizing!
