Thanks to all for your comments/votes - As i have probably explained to most of you this was an 'opportunist' shot - no time to fiddle about composing - just a quick point and shoot. Its been fun...thanks again

| Very nice capture. I wish the darker bird was less conspicuous in the background; the fence isn't overly distracting, but might be better without it. |

| Should have waited for the other bird to get out of the way or re-position yourself for a better composition. The wire is also another problem. Good focusing though. |

| This would have been marvellous with a tight crop around the ostrich's head, I think. The wires are a distraction. |

| Although the fence wires are a little disturbing, they don't really decrease the quality of this image somehow. I think cropping out the top half of the ostrich out the back is more disturbing. Otherwise this is a great pic, with the main subject full in focus and the shallow DOF blurring the background. Personally, I would have kept the whole ostrich in the background in the shot. |
