I can see you in the reflection

I like the way you waited till the priest had is back turned to take the picture:) And I see you at least went down on your knees in front of the altar;) Ten hail Mary's and Two our fathers!!!
The priest and refelcetion make this image so much more interesting than I first thought! I just wish the focus in the foreground was sharper.

The only thing I don't like is the reflection of a person in the front 2 cups. I love the gold cup in the background being blurred out a little. Adds good contrast, and doesn't draw too much attention.

i would have preferred not to see your reflection in this one. i didn't notice the priest on first glance, too bad he's not more prominent.

my goal is to comment on every photo in this challenge..heres urs..good luck. while i like the idea i think u were going for, i think u just went a little too far and made the photo look cluttered. i like that theres not any harsh glares..good job

Great subject! I would have liked to see it without the reflections in the cups...

I see you... twice. It's a shame you couldn't get a preist in the background

I like the composition, but can't find the focus.

Seems fuzzy to me, no real center of focus. Don't like the reflection in the silver bowls.
06/22/2005 02:07:52 PM
soft

I can't decide about the reflection in the middle bowl - taking the picture slightly higher would have stopped the bleed into the vertical reflection.
It's distracting my eye back to the centre constantly.

i like how the women's praying in the reflection just wish it was more in focus. unless it's just my eyes!

This shot in my opinion needed good depth of field and sharp focus. You have also got the tricky problem of the photographer getting in the picture. Good attempt at a dificult photo.... my 2c worth. Good luck

I love the reflection of the person in prayer.

not sure if your OOF is intentional, but its not pleasing. note also the bluish tinge on the shiny parts of the cups(bowls?) if your main subject is the cup in the centre, then the cropping on the bottom should have been reduced, as in, show more table.

Unfortunately, the reflection really detracts from the overall image.
