One of the first things I did when I got my digital camera was take a trip to the zoo with my son.
If you had anough data/resolution, I think I'd have cropped off the heads of the people at the top so as to further isolate Andrew (he'd be the only "whole" person in the frame).

This is only a snapshot, I feel that there was not much thought that went into this image.

Lots of jaggies and bloomed highlights?
Lots of cameras, too! Where were you?

ok

This has a nice soft focus to it, but it looks overly compressed to me. Very cool that you're not the only one there with a digital. Is that a Canon Pro90 I see? I also think the person immediately on the left could be cut out. The focus is very strong on his (or her) hands.

Very over-exposed, the child seems almost ghostly. There's no resemblance of a zoo either, who knows what's past the gate? I think the inclusion of some zoo animals would've helped.

taking pictures in direct sunlight is hard--way too many 'hot spots'. i might have focused more on andrew, and since he is relatively level with the fence, used that as a background so you could see the water and animals in the picture.

Don't know if the lighting effect is intentional or not, if so then kudos. I like the over exposed look in this pic, gives a dreamy quality... not quite reality.

Andrew is so radiant in the sunshine... It's like a dream. I'm glad he got the front row!

Try cleaning your lens (were you going for the "soft" focus effect?) Sunlight reflecting off the boys arms is tooooo harsh. Not bad, but try again, this one needs work.

Great expression on the face. It's also kind of neat that you are taking a picture of him, and everyone else is taking a picture of something else. A little bright in spots, and "jaggy" in others. If you sharpened it, you may have done a little too much.

Andrew's a cutie! I think I would've preferred the photo better if it wasn't quite as compressed (you can submit a photo of up to 150kb in size, yours is just over 30 kb) and if you had got a lower camera angle so that you'd be more on eye-level with Andrew. I love the expression on his face.

The quality of this shot isn̢۪t so good, I don̢۪t know if it's your camera or you may̢۪ve used too much compression when you saved this image.

Andrew and 10 others...wish they were cropped out, cute little boy. Sunlight is very hard to get 'just right' - valant effort.

Cute little _people_ fella at the zoo. Did you use a filter or is this just blurring from the sun? Nice shot.

Andrew needs to be in focus.

I like the interesting glow of the light in this photo... good job!
