Needs a bit more contrast and a little less brigthtness to make this have more depth.
Not a real strong contender for fitting the challenge in my opinion.

Probably going for thr brown? This does not meet the challenge at all.

the flash gives this otherwise cute photo a very harsh look. the eyes seem a little 'lifeless', but thats probably just the angle, and i'm sorry, but i dont really see the leading lines here. sorry, but i'm gonna have to give you a 4.

This shot is quite flat probably because of the flash on the camera. Next time try not using the flash and using existing light (preferably window light but electric lights will work also if placed in imaginative spots and you set your white balance properly) Also, your subject is not in the most appealing of poses and the crop looks quite awkward. Shooting pets and not having it look like a snap shot is a task that takes much patience and trial and error...

cute cat, but I don't really see how it fits the challenge at all...
07/01/2005 04:20:40 PM
That's a really purposeful expression.

I rated the photo low as it does not fit the assignment
07/01/2005 03:07:30 AM
There are no leading lines here...the lines on the upholstery are insignificant and incidental to this photo.

That cat looks like he has personality!
06/30/2005 06:48:06 PM

I'm afraid I've given you a 2. If you're someone who wants low scores explained, please PM me & I'll add an explanation to this comment. If you're not, just ignore me & I'll go away.

Cats and their naughty bits...look at that stare.

Call me crazy. I don't see anything here that would meet the definition of leading lines. I am dreadfully alergic to cats, so that may be coloring my impressionn.
06/30/2005 12:20:51 AM
I didn't see the lines leading to anything in this photo. Also the light is very harsh from the flash. Love the cats pose, he looks very comfortable.

a snapshot of your cat...while cute it does not fulfill the challenge. Leading Lines - meaning lines that lead the eye to a subject. The lines should be so clear they grab your eye and lead it directly to a specific subject.
06/29/2005 01:02:55 PM
Leading lines? I dont see it, but then again, ive been up a long time too. ahaha
06/28/2005 05:30:10 PM
definitely male! lol
06/28/2005 09:16:29 AM
What here is supposed to be your leading line?
06/28/2005 03:45:36 AM
leading lines are not a strong enough part of the composition. the range of colours/tones is not really wide enough for me giving a flat picture. Crop out all of the right hand side.
06/28/2005 03:19:54 AM
What a face he put on, indignified to say the least ;) you missed the lower part of the legs though, probably get voted down for that, very cute tabby cat, must be a character!
06/27/2005 09:28:14 PM
This picture looks a bit washed out. I might try playing with the levels or curves to enhance the subject a bit.
06/27/2005 03:29:11 PM
Great pose. Great look on his face. Your lines aren't very strong and if I didn't know better, I would never suspect leading lines was your compositional technique.
06/27/2005 02:19:08 PM
This shot just looks a bit too blah. The lighting is bad, and it looks like a shot you would see on ebay or from a disposable camera. There are also not any lines "leading" my eye anywhere.
06/27/2005 02:07:37 AM
My cat sits like this too! It's hilarious!
06/27/2005 12:57:02 AM
Huh? leading lines?
06/27/2005 12:12:03 AM
Goin' for the Brown! Sweet!
