This was a cookbook given to my mother my grandmother when she married in 1943. Boy, times sure have changed.

After using only natural light, I cropped the image and used a touch of color filtering to give it an even more aged appearance.

LOL! Just saw this one. My wife had a "manual" for wives that was published in the 50's. It was hilarious. Too bad women don't read good instructional books like that anymore. ;-P

Not to sure about the lighting (flash or brightness caused by a window?). The subject matter fits the challenge perfectly.

good composition .... would have liked to see less shadow in the lower right.

Amusing! Wonderful lighting. The red in the back is distracting, all black would make a big improvement.

nive colors but the book itself is a bit too present (the challenge is about pictures, not about the book).

THAT ain't obsolete! (Great concept to the photo, but it's STILL a good way to a man's heart!)

with such a tight crop, I'd expect to see a uniform background, and all of the book. With the sunlight on the book, this tells me there is more context, and I'm disappointed not to see it.
