John, this is a beautiful picture. . .we ARE on the same wavelength aren't we? :) Congratulations on YOUR top 20 finish! I love the colors and composition of this one. The pinks mixed in with those old stones look fantastic!!

It looks as though lighting condtions were a bit difficult - the sky looks to be a bit blown. The eye is certainly drawn in here, although I feel that the view through the arch at the end could perhaps be a little darker or brighter, so as to make it stnd out. The off-centre approach to the view along the corridor (cloister?) works well here.

Maybe if this had been shot later or earlier in the day, it may have had more "wow".
And it's just my preference, but I think black and white may have been good on this shot.
But a nice image none the less.

i like the angle and colors. The picture does look slightly slanted though to the left, though that may be just from keystoning. 7
