To me, I think flipping the shot horizontally so that the eyes are led left to right would have made it stronger

This is just so cool! It's simple, but so strong as far as leading lines, and so interesting with the birds perched there at the end. I love this.

The title made me search for the meaning, the old piers guided me to it. I like this one.

Leading lines or curves generally have two purposes. One is to lead the viewer into the scene. The other is to lead you toward the main subject. It is most effective if they come in from the lower left because that is the natural direction humans visually scan a picture from so are easiest to pick up.

Very creative and effective way to direct attention to the birds.

This shot could do with some "pop" in contrast or something. It's very flat to me. But nice otherwise.

This is the first picture where I actually had my eye follow and I said "heh, there is something at the end." VERY NICE.
