Date Uploaded: Jun 26, 2005

Took lots of shots on the boardwalk at Kohler Andrae State park this afternoon. Was hard to find a focus for a shot but I liked this one and felt the duotone worked well to emphasize the leading line. we'll see (as ever!)

Shot in RAW and converted in Rawshooter. Cloned out an annoying mark in the sky (on my lens I think)Converted to B&W with channel mixer and then saved. Converted to duotone. Light Neat Image and sharpening. Resized and saved.

Love a wood walkway. As is the image has an artistic touch which appeals to me. Bumping up.

wow...killer composition. looks like you might have overprocessed it a bit. i wish the sky had a more uniform brightness

Very nice like the lines and feeling of the shot ... I found the excessive darkness in the upper right corner quite detracting from an overall excellent shot.

I like the effect here, although the sky seems to have a bit of noise in it on the right - sharpening perhaps? The lines certainly lead somewhere.

while i am a fan of monotone, i think that it hurts this photo. the walkway blends directly into the ground and doesn't really make a "pop"

Great use of sepia tones. I like this picture a lot.

A little les contrast may have been better

A colour version of this may have been a better choice IMO. Everything seems to blend in with each other in the field/boardwalk and the tree is just slightly darker than the sky behind.

Color would have been nice with the brown of the boards going through it.

The sky is a bit dark, but a nicely composed image. I'm not sure if color might have been a better choice.

nice black and white choice. personally, i'd have liked this even more had it utilized a bit more contrast. but nice image still. 8

Very nice picture for this challenge. The walkway really leads your eye into the picture. However, there isn't enough contrast between the walkway and the grass on the sides of it so they blend all together. Perhaps the walkway would have stood out more if the picture were in color.

I think colour would have been better here, the path kinda blends in a bit too much ... my 2c .. Good luck

Excellent "Lead line" I love the coloring and the highlights in the grass.

This evokes a lonely mood. Nice contrast.
