 Exposure compensation, levels, etc. were required during RAW conversion to make up for a weak fill-flash (used to avoid reflections in the paint and glass). How I wished for dodge and burn in Basic Editing on this one!

Other adjustments: Rotate, Crop, Hue/Saturation, Histogram Adj., Resize, USM.

Very nice ... If you could have gotten this just a bit later ... The sign and post thing beyond the pump are distracting mostly the post thing , if you could clone that out I think it would add. I would also take the house out of the background because it detracts from a very nice shot.

I love the lighting that you have captures here. I really get a sense of geing there. The only thing I might change would be to crop away some of the post on the left hand edge.

I imagined the setting sun as an apt metaphor for the end of this motoring era. Same with the tree stump (I bet the tree was still standing when this pump was active). Lots of nostalgia in this shot. Terrific composition. A little bit of Norman Rockwell in this one, I think. This photo not only captures the obsolete pump, but an entire obsolete time. Nicely done.

Interesting angle and effective. The misty background is fitting. Lighting is great. Too bad you couldn't have cloned out what looks like an electrical box in the background. Well done...I give it a 10

Great athmosphere... like we're back in the fifties. Great capture. Minor drawback is the flash reflecting from the red pole an a bit too much convergence to the top.

it's almost surreal..to have such a clear foreground yet the background is so mystical..I take it you used the flash with this one? (artifical vs. natural light) very nicely captured..9
