 Relatively old diesel pump in a dig in Kjalarnes, Iceland. This is my third attempt taking some photos of this lonely pump that nobody uses anymore.

Used my 70-200, flash used from the right far right.

Converted from RAW, exposure up 0,5, incresed contrast and saturation just a bit.

IMO this is the best in the challenge. Excellent comp, feel and light as noted in other comments, but more important is the statement for the challenge. You cropped it perfectly. Here is R2D2 protecting an obsolete federation long after episode 13. This is art, not just technical expertise. I'm new here, sorry I didn't vote.

Til hamingju með þin besta árangur til þessa. Þetta lofar góðu. Mjög sniðug vinna með flash. Litajafnvagið er mjög fínt og ýtir undir stemminguna.

mmm...i really like this. the colors are so soothing and easy on the eyes, the colors in the sky reveal themselves slowly, the lighting is perfect in my opinion.

Well done. Waiting for the sun to be the right color did this image good. I'm sure you debaited cropping the pole out, I'm debaiting it, too. It might be keeping this image in balance. 8

I love thw soft color of the sky in the background. Compiments the rust ver well. I like the angle of the light as well. Hits the front yet leaves the side in the shade.

I'm in love! I don't know what it is about these old gas pumps, but I just like them. The pipe on the left is so perfect and the brown/yellowish sky adds to the feeling of obsolescence. 10

I love the light on this one. Great focus and composition. Must of used a polarizing filter. Top 3 in the challenge I hope, and my personal favorite of the challenge! (10)

Lighting is nice. The sky is beautiful in contrast to the ugly rusty old gas pump. I think it would have been nicer to leave out the pipe on the left to concentrate more on the pump...perhaps getting a little closer to see the old number display.

Lovely shot - i think it fits the challenge just right. Maybe the colours couldhave been a bit bolder to enphasise the rust a little more?
