A blast from the past. Cool.

If this were the price actually listed on the pump, I would have enjoyed the photo focusing in on that fact. Perhaps a closer shot of the pump's display? The plant seems to steal some of the focus away from the pump as well. I like the washed out effect...it feels as though the pump were out in the desert for years.

I like the green color of the pump...reminds me of the color of old Chevy trucks...and I like the living plant next to the old dead log. Other than the sun being behind the photo, I like it... and I know when the opportunity for a photo arises, you have to take it. We don't always have time to come back when the lighting is better....6....

This shot could have been much stronger if the lighting were better. The shot is a bit overexposed and this has washed everything out. I think a bit of cropping would also be helpful. You might be able to get better lighting by playing with the levels, saturation and exposure functions.

I remember a time it was 30 cents a gallon, but that was some 35 years ago. I'll rate it a 7

This is a good idea, but closing in on the pump would have worked better.

This is a great find. I like the juxtapostion of the old pump and the new plant. It all seems overexposed, however, and perhaps needs some sharpening?

With the lighting I probably would have got more of a close-up of the pump or waited for better lighting. Darken the contrast or go with a tone or black and white might have worked a little better with this photo.
