| the colors here just don't work for me. the right side of the image is quite distracting and detract from the impact of the face. overall look is washed-out. |

| the nightvision idea was cool. Sadly, it does nto fit macro - or even near macro as with those you need to be close enough to pick up details and should only see about 1-2 inches of the subject. Maybe had you zoomed in on just the eye, and then applied some nightvision look to it, although ou would have needed to tone it down a lot in order to see details, it would have fit the challenge more. |

| I wasn't sure what to make of this. It is a closeup, and the colors are interesting. The arm(?) on the right, the size of the picture, the choice of tone and the composition are all working against you, in my opinion. Sorry. |

Sorry not suited to challenge.
I think Macro = detail.
You have none here
substancial col / image changes usually bomb here.

| While it is nice to see some originality in a challenge full of bugs and flowers, I'm afraid that don't particularily like this close-up. Usually photos that are overdone in post-processing don't do well here. |

| Not really close up, and the negative look is really bad. No detail anywhere. Too many areas "blown out". |

A 1 from me for a number of reasons.
1) Image is too small
2) Image appears to not fit the challenge (not a macro)
3) With the inversion comes complete loss of all details.
Going for the brown? |

| Interesting use of the "negative" effect. Go ahead and make your picture size as large as DPC will allow. This will let voters/commenters see the detail of your photo and appreciate it for it's full value. |

| I'm scoring this low for the following reasons: I don't like inverted images, I can tell from the highlights the exposure would be to dark in the positive, and its very small. |
