ooh mid day sun and shade - very hard to work with. expose either for the people or the river bank, dont try to get halfway between becasue part will be too bright and part too dark.

this is tough, with the subjects being in the light and so much in shadow. the people are quite bright compared to the rest of the image. i like the reflection.

Fit Challenge Criteria: 1/2
Color/Contrast: 1/2
Photo Quality: 1/2
Composition: 2/2

This isn't a bad photo, but I think there should have been more thought given to the shadows under the tree and the placement of the three people in the canoe. The middle person is almost all hidden.

Familys, hehe, nice. Light pretty hard though.

This has a little too much 'snapshot' feel to it. Mostly I think it comes from the harsh lighting which is probably due to time of day, so theres not alot to do about it. When taking pictures in these conditions you might try setting the exposure compensation (assuming your camera has one) to -2/3 or even -1.

looks over exposed, the brights are too bright

Nice composition and framing. I think softer light would have made it better. Lots of families.

the main thing I like about this is the duck at the right hand side. He's either coming in to land or just flapping his wings, but I like the fact that he's level with the boat on the other side... does that make sense? lol

Bit over bright - but overall a very nice image. Nice summer scene.

Too contrasty, lost highlights...

A different crop could improve upon the image.

How nice, two families.

perhaps angled to show more of the entire family would work better here.

FUN!!! Love the red of the boat and oars. Seems overexposed though.
