Cropped, curves, Neatimage, saved for web ( 1/50 f2.8 iso200 -.3 exp comp). Just driving down the road, my mind wandering through ideas for Independent photo subjects, and saw this bush... 1/2 alive and 1/2 dead... seemed to fit the challenge, but ahh, will it meet the voters approval. You never know until you try...

I wonder if the background would be better if picture was taken from the other side of the tree? I like the concept of same tree but each side being independent of the other.

Bush too much in the center. House doesn't add to shot. Maybe a closeup of bush leaves would work better.

great picture - 7 - since I didn't understand the challenge I don't need anyone to fit into any specific category. but i can see how one half has independence from the other. nice.!!!!!
