I really enjoyed your submission, it should place well in this week's competition. 8 Morgan |

A lovely poeme. I like the grassy foreground, and how it contrasts with the dark building (barn?) Is the house red? Wish we could see that better, and odd to include the church towerway to left, out of focus and incomplete. |

Nice shot, though I think perhaps too much contrast - though that's obviously difficult to keep the sky from burning out. Graduated filter might have helped? Don't like the text layout: I think perhaps there's too much of it. |

Glorious! I was just visiting Iceland last month, and it was SO GREEN in places that it blew my mind. Your photo takes me back! I love the lushness of that grass. It's beautiful. |

I think it's a bit dark and the text is too much. THe building on the right is cool - the ones on the left are a bit too dark to see much detail. |

The more interesting elements are off to the sides and the least interesting have been given center stage - try a different angle. |

Your entry made me look up Jónas Hallgrimsson on the net, and I read just a bit of his poetry - it\\\'s very descriptive, it makes you see places; kind of like your postcard, very beautiful, tastefully done. I hope you do well. ~9
PS - in your title, if you meant to say the plural of \"house\", it\'s spelled \"houses\". \"House\'s\" is a possessive, so you\'d have to say something afterwards, such as, \"The old house\'s windowframes are painted white.\" |

Good idea to put in a quote, the only one in the challenge I've seen, well done. This is the kind of postcard shot I would expect to find from Iceland, and yep, I'd buy it too. I particularly like the way you shot from the ground up. |

I love the simple lines of this photo. I very much like your choice of poetry.
Three wishes:
- A bit of sky darkening (polarizer)
- Boost the dark tones just a bit to show (just a little more) detail in building shadows
- A bit wider crop, give more of the spacious feeling of the land |
