Beautiful use of light here. Love how the shadows create the illusion of deep texture. Great use of the background and overal a good composition. |

Wow!! what a view! Love the interplay between the shadows and the planks of wood. |

I would like to see this shot more focused on the shadows, perhaps a different angle so that we lose the blown-out sky. I think the texture and lines have great potential, but they get a bit lost in this shot. |

Nice image, but I do think this would be a stronger shot with less of a blowout in the skies. |

Fit Challenge Criteria: 2/2
Color/Contrast: 1/2
Composition: 0/2
Photo Quality: 1/2
My Subjective Affinity: 0/2
There is some potential to where you shot this, but I disagree with the time of day and lighting angle. the checkered deck is too confusing, and there is really no good detail anywhere. |

I love the long shadows and the composition, but the glare from the upper left is distracting. |

The checkered pattern is very nice. I also like the hazy light. It seems to me that the mountain somehow upstages the subject. And because it is a little our of focus, it kind of trashes the shot. There are two cropping treatments that would fix this problem ( not sure if they result in a better photo ) a) cut off everything above the top of the railing b) cut off everything to the right of the first corner post. |

I love the way the shadows cast the checkerboard on the deck... Would be a great use of light photo or texture, but the wood becomes lost in the pattern. |

This photo appeals to me so much. I love mountain photos, and the lighting and shadows on this are beautiful. Good luck. I really like it a lot! |

you might try using a graduated ND filter to regain detail in the sky, or blending two exposures if the challenge allows for it. I like the patterns the shadows make, as well as the God rays. |

Wow, great use of leading lines, the shadows on the wood provide great interest, there's plenty of DOF, and the view is magnificent. My only slight complaint is that the sky seems blown, but that is minor and doesn't detract much from the overal effect. |

This is an amazing image. THe shadows & the wood are truly wonderful, and the background enhances it beautifully. |
