For those that were wondering how this was done, it was actually pretty simple. I set the camera on a tripod in a completely dark room with a 20sec exposure. Pushed the shutter than exposed the green light by using a little key light thing. Then I shut that off and turn on a flashlight in my other hand (which is why it is off screen) and exposed my body and face.
Very basic editing in photoshop, mostly consisting of curves and a bit of smudge on the green light and some blur. |

a little nit pick: I would have prefered it if his shirt was plain.
I've spent too long trying to work out what it says on there!! |

Great effect! would've had a betteroverall impact if subject was dressed as a sorcerer. |

Interesting shot. I do like the effect. I think it would have been cool to have had additional help on this photo so that the model could keep both hands in the frame to keep the illusion a little more intact. JMO. |

What IS it? I like the way the green reflects on his shirt and I like the color scheme, green and flesh, a contrast between human and alien? The shadow is cool too. What if you crop off his pants? Does that lower bit add anything? When I cover it up, the strong line of the arm and the shadow arm stand out more. |

Okay, this is a really cool photo. How did you get your light source in your hand? 10 |

Really smart use of light. I like the softness without blurriness. The green is appealing and casts a nice glow on the white tee shirt. Upon second review, I'm upping it to a 9. Way to go!! |

Interesting effect. I keep looking at this thing trying to figure out how you did it. One thing I can see is some application of the smudge tool. Hmm... |

ww very nice. A double exposure perhaps??? Very well done. Excellent colors and good composition. Very well done and I think the silohouette on the wall behind adds to this photo. Well done and good luck in this challenge.<8> |
