Wow, this is really kinda dark. In order to make B/W really work you need a wide tonal range which is lacking in this shot. It also looks like you used the on camera flash. This will always produce harsh shadows that are usually unatractive especially when the subject is close to the background as in this case. Move the subject away from the background and use other lighting (I never use the on camera flash...) and this would work better!

I think this would looks better without the shadows...maybe try stepping away a bit from the backdrop? Also, this photo is begging for more contrast...3

Love the title on this one but not much else. I do like playing this trick with my kids can be fun.

I think that the graininess works well, although I find the shadows a little too strong.

A little overused trick but always popular to the kiddies, your image came out a little too dark and using the flash gave it an unattractive shadow..

The idea, is good. I find the dark shadows a little too distracting, some sdditional lighting or reflectors would help with this.

focus and contrast could be a bit crisper

uh oh that tricky thumb is popping off again. The shadow is a litle harsh in the image, a second light source might have helped..

Old trick but always effective.

Didn't quite pull this one off - as I can still see part of your thumb. Also the image is a bit grainy. It's a cool idea and well composed, but it doesn't really grab me.

Don't put down the idea in your title. It can still be done well. However in this case the lighting could be improved. 4

Personally I think this is a little to dark, but yet the shadows are too prominent. If that makes any sense.

Picture seems a bit dark and flat with quite a bit of noise. The illusion is kind of weak since it is easily figured out.

First Impression: This is a nice concept, that could have been carried well (and was if I remember correctly).
Was I fooled? No, but that is not really the issue here. What damages it here in scoring is the image quality.
Good Luck.
