This photo is a little dark, otherwise a good shot.

underexposed flash shot with a compressed brightness range. Every thing here is grey.

The picture doesn't seem to illuminate the personality for me. Processing also too dull.

Maybe a bit dark, good focus, are we birthing? What are we doing? The suspense is killing me. What is he intense about?

A nice portrait, with good title. I think this photo could be improved further with some post processing to add some more contrast, it's too much gray and gray for my liking at the moment.

I want a pediatric OR cap with balloons printed on it (if that is what that is, that is)!

Having things a little brighter overall might help covey a more optimistic outcome (if that's what you want to convey, of course).

Like the serious face with the hat - what is happening on his left shoulder? wish it was a tad brighter, but good job.

it would have been more "intense" without the balloons on his surgical cap.

I think a tighter crop of his face is needed to show any intensity. And perhaps shoot from a lower angle.

Good B/W (an all photography, really) is all about light, and the ugliest light known to man (except possibly flourescent) is, for some reason, built into most cameras. It's very hard and directional, which flattens textures, and casts horrid shadows nine times out of ten. The party headwrap would have me worried if this were my surgeon, unless I was 7. For intensity, maybe you could zoom in on his eyes.

a bit dark around the face but good focus

Good idea. Good attempt. Little dark.

scary... i like this hovering mood of err... scariness.

maybe a bit more contrast?

This is a nice shot but I think it needs a little more light to offer some better contrast :)
